Director of Investor Relations

Stephen McCarthy is the Director of Investor Relations for Strategic Funding Alternatives, LLC. Mr. McCarthy is responsible for raising equity capital from private investors for SFA real estate acquisitions. He also manages communication between SFA and the investor group, providing periodic updates on investments, market insight reports, and responding to investor questions. Mr. McCarthy’s financial experience began in 2011 as a professional with 1847Financial, Penn Mutual’s flagship office. Mr. McCarthy was a founding member with the firm, specializing in advising high net worth individuals and small businesses in creating sound financial strategies, including risk mitigation and wealth management. Mr. McCarthy pivoted from a “traditional” financial planning role by entering the alternative investment space in 2013, focusing his efforts on raising capital for various non-traditional investments such as life settlements, green energy initiatives, and merchant cash advance facilities. Since 2013, Stephen has focused exclusively on working with high-net-worth clients, introducing alternative investment strategies, and effectively and efficiently shielding capital from market risk. Mr. McCarthy is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Prep and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also obtained a Retirement Income Planning certificate from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
